Business Development Manager

Vivup are the leading Health and Wellbeing employee benefits company in the UK.

Following rapid growth within the company, we are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager with experience in the Employee Benefits industry and / or with Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP).


The Ideal Candidate

  • Working with the Head of Sales and Lead Business Development Manager to provide appropriate support across the business to ensure the brand and image of the company is enhanced
  • Take responsibility for own continuing professional development and keep up to date by reading relevant journals, attending networking meetings and relevant courses so that state of the art thinking can be utilised within the company proposition
  • Be a credible ambassador for the company at all meetings with external organisations so that the Company’s reputation is maintained, and best interests served
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role as business needs require


Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver activities included in the Sales Plan by developing and closing business opportunities, generating, and progressing leads and presenting the company’s products in a proactive way
  • To build relationships with key prospects for them utilise the company’s products and services and maximise income
  • To ensure the business maintains and expands its market share and act as an ambassador of the company’s products
  • Develop extensive knowledge of the client procurement process, including who the key decision makers are
  • Understand external business environment, including key competitors and developments in technology and employee benefits
  • Build strong effective internal relationships with key departments to meet your client needs
  • Create and maintain all required CRM records
  • Create an ongoing pipeline of activity and revenue



  • Communication – Professional and clear communication skills coupled with the demonstrated ability to network and build strong business relationships. Articulate and tactful both on the phone and face to face with effective writing, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Sales Competency – Identify customer needs, sell the virtues of our products and identify new products to address customer and market requirements. Experience in lead nurturing, lead generation, appointment setting and closing business
  • Organisation – Self-motivated and ability to prioritise busy workload in a fast-paced environment. Good team player with a willingness to collaborate to achieve solutions
  • Systems – MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Salesforce



A Level standard or equivalent experience

Employee Benefits industry experience and/or Occupation Health and Wellbeing is desirable



  • Salary of £35,000.00 year (up to dependent on experience) + 60% OTE Uncapped bonus + Car Allowance
